Our first project
Rural clinics and hospitals do not have access to clean water and struggle to maintain sterile supplies and equipment, resulting many times in sickness or death for visits and procedures that should be safe and routine.
Our Objectives:
- Provide 2 million people in the Kankan region with the UNICEF recommended 6-gallons of water a day per person for drinking, hand washing, cooking, and farm animals
- Implement a long term plan to realize a working, self-sustaining ecosystem
Women lose time and energy obtaining water, many times sacrificing school because of it. A common day: Women leave the home at 4 am to get in line to fill up 20 liter jugs, walking miles to get there, sometimes waiting all day, to fetch water for their family.
